<itunes:summary>I remember one day, as my spiritual director and I were chatting about the Logos Bible Software, he shared with me concerns about the software. The resources were not inline with our Catholic faith. Now that the Verbum editions are out, we are once again taking a look .

This blog post comes after my earlier post (Logos Bible Software), where an email from a friend sparked a new flame for me, and I decided to search out reviews online from some of my digital oasis, I frequent for feeding my Catholic faith.

While I am sold on many parts of the software already, I searched for others who might be sharing their points of view. Mostly I found references of positive arguments on Logos.

Brandon Vogt, on his personal blog, shares 7 ways he believes that the bible software will benefit ones journey of faith. Brandon's post is filled with information and I urge you to read the entire page. Two videos and a list of other reviews are available.
http://brandonvogt.com/7-ways-logos-catholic-software-will/
Author of "The Church and New Media" book, Brandon Vogt shares a great collection of writings dealing with top bloggers of our Catholic faith. ( http://www.churchandnewmedia.com/ )

Jimmy Akin has a podcast, he shares via his personal blog, "How Can Bible Software Help You." I had trouble getting the mp3 to work, so I just loaded a player here on MidsouthCatholic for you to listen. Here is the original page I found: http://jimmyakin.com/2011/11/how-can-bible-software-help-you.html

I would like to share a quote from Akin's bio, so you will know a little about him...
Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a member on the Catholic Answers Speakers Bureau, a weekly guest on the global radio program “Catholic Answers Live,” a contributor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and the author of more publications than you can shake a stick at
Ignitum Today, Brent Stubbs shares a quick review in four segments; lay person, priest, student/ professor, and catechist.
http://www.ignitumtoday.com/2011/12/24/logos-bible-software-4-reviews-in-one/
Pathos.com blogger, Thomas McDonald has three short post where he shares insight on the Logos Bible Software. You will notice the Android App Article. I have all three Logos Android apps installed on my Google Nexus, which today I used in my Bible study class on Isaiah. I'm impressed about how fast I could maneuver from verse to verse and I look forward to scrolling about the Catholic Catechism, very soon.

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/godandthemachine/2012/09/study-the-catechism-in-a-year-with-logos/

NOW LETS GET TO SOME LOGOS RESOURCES/ REVIEWS
The first link I am sharing is on the main Logos Bible Software website. This is their blog link, under the drop down menu "support", and is an older webpage with descriptions and comments.
http://blog.logos.com/2009/05/logos_bible_software_for_catholics/
There is a dedicated site for the Verbum editions of Logos, that you can explore for more information. The blog post are more up-to-date, and you can follow along as the crew from Logos shares content about their product and services.
http://scripturestudysoftware.com/blog/
I hope all the links and reviews are useful for your decision making, if your in the market for a study software on Bible and faith. I am working with a team of people in the Memphis Mid-south area, on promoting/ encouraging laity and religious to consider purchasing the Verbum, Logos Bible Software. Contact me today if your interested. (Click Here)

Have a comment on Logos Bible Software? I would love to hear from you.
