Social Media Strategy Consultant

Social Media Planning ConsultantSocial Media Strategy Consulting, that is the topic at hand. A Keyword Phrase associated to a common question of many small businesses and large companies, and with today’s social media platforms sprouting out like popcorn in a movie theater, along with everyone in the audience trying a taste of each flavor, it is hard to figure out just what to do, when developing a strategy.

This past weekend I was blessed with a few hours of web geek sharing. Techcamp Memphis, a “two-times a year” event, came around and I was able to attend the full day of tech-stuff mixed with a lot of web development topics, dealing with social media, building your brand, and networking. In the house was a young woman by the name of Liz Jostes, who shared on many aspects of web strategy and social networking.

I did a quick streaming test, while listening in on one of her talks, just to see how fast Ustream content, posted in Facebook, could come up in ranking on Bing’s search engine… expecting to see quick results on the “social search” side.  I checked a few minutes after I saved the video down, as “Social Media Strategy Consulting”, and did not see it in the top 20 results on my smart phone.  It wasn’t until I returned home and checked on my desktop that I viewed the Ustream url in the top 5.

This tells me I need to start studying how and if mobile devices, with Facebook apps, are picked-up by Bing, as they do on a desktop when the online viewer is logged into their Facebook account.

A few days back, when I was working on a new upcoming project (Blogging for Business), I did a similar test on a new Ustream channel, sharing info on Neal Schaffer, a great source for those interested in LinkedIn. The results showed up in the top 5, for the same keyword phrase topic of consulting for social media. I turned off/ signed out of Facebook to see what Bing would show me for the organic results and it was in the top 20, on the second page of results. This occurred in less than 9 10 minutes.

I have always insisted to all my friends and clients that Ustream combined with SEO strategies is a powerful tool for any business or organization wanting to get their product, service or message out. Over two years ago I was blessed being able to stream a Catholic Church Mass, and found my way into obtaining 4 out of the top 5 positions on keyword phrases, consisting of three or more words.

I stopped streaming when I went into the hospital, but the strength of the fresh-live-stream content lived on for over a year, on Google, Yahoo and Bing. Only until now has that content fallen off the top ten charts, but is still visible on all three search engines in the top 20.

Just by me streaming on the MidsouthCatholic Ustream’s channel, a few moments… it has aroused the interest of passing spiders. I know I will see my Ustream channels moving up the ladder very soon.

Check out these to short videos. Liz Jostes and Neal Schaffer both can assist small businesses, as well as large companies and firms with their needs for Social Media Strategy Consulting. Both Consultants have solid backgrounds and experience in Social Media.
