Recently YouTube changed up the visuals and functions for customization on their channels. I was happy to see the simple editing applications the home channel for the user. A few clicks and uploads, your customization of your YouTube channel can have a more appealing look and usability.
You have control of the layout, making how you reach your potential online audience a little easier as to how you visualize setting up your channel. The added ability to place customized links on the sidebar, below your “About” statement, is going to a sure hit for those seeking ways to attract online viewers to personal and business websites.
These easy way of adding/editing your avatar and customized background is a very nice feature for YouTube channels. While you could change your background in the old YouTube setup, the new channel editing is just simpler and easy to find. Coming from an SEO/ Search Engine Optimization point of view: If you take the time to name (title) your uploaded videos with keywords and phrases, associated with relative content to your blog or website, and create a definition and tag list with relative keywords and phrases for each of your videos, I believe you will find a new Social Media Strategy of sharing your YouTube channel to be an efficient way of gaining rankings in search engines.
