Just around the corner is another amazing event, where literally hundreds of thousands of Catholic youth gather together on common ground, to give praise and thanks, to our Lord. This years WYD, 2011, will be held in Madrid, Spain.
The official starting date is August 16, but already youth around the World are getting ready for their pilgrimage. I have been visiting the website daily, looking for updates as to who and when, Catholic music artist will be performing in and around the area of Madrid.
World Youth Day in Australia was exciting for me, as I followed blogs and videos that where being posted by a wide variety of sources. I hope this years celebration offers even more outlets for new media, that will give up to minute details of piety and action, going on in Spain.
Found this great video via Google+, on a post shared by Chris Burgwald. You can see that Matt Maher’s song, “Alive Again” is featured in the video clip advertisement for WYD 2011. The content came from the World Youth Day celebrated in Australia.
