Today, on September 30, 2011 a few of my new friends of Google+ are gathering in Kansas City, Kansas for a Catholic Media Conference, CNMC 2011 sponsored by SQPN (Catholic New Media Conference CNMC, Star Quest Production Network SQPN). I hope they have the time of their lives!
SQPN.com is a very active online group of people, sharing a wide range of media. Please take the time and visit them at their official website: http://sqpn.com/
CNMC has their own page on the SQPN website: http://cnmc.sqpn.com/
I actually found my way into the SQPN crowd a few years back, via the PodcastAnswerMan Cliff Ravenscraft owner/ operator of the GSPN Network. If you looking to start a podcast or want to dive deeper into the podcast ministry, stop by and check Cliff out. I promise every minute you spend either watching his live streaming show or just digging through his large database of podcast you will enjoy the entertaining education he provides.
I did make it to the CATHOLICON 2011, where I met Brandon Vogt, author of “The Church and New Media”, Scott Maentz “World Famous and Renowned Motorcycle LED Light Installer”, and Christina King National Catholic Keynote Speaker. They are a few of the Google+ Catholic Geeks, and will be present at CNMC this year.
A few other Google+ Catholic Geeks, that will be attending the Catholic New Media Conference in Kansas City; Lisa Hendey of Catholic Mom, Ashley Collins Social Communications Coordinator for the Office for Mission Education and Animation for the Archdiocese of Chicago (MAN WHAT A TITLE!!!), Marc Cardaronella Director of Religious Education with Ten Years of being a Naval Aviator on his belt, and Craig Berry Web Developer and Musician.
I know there is a lot to take in at this conference, but I hope to see a few updates via Google+, Twitter, Facebook, and Flicker. Craig Berry announced on Google+ he had created a Flicker account, just for the occasion of CNMC 2011. (http://www.flickr.com/groups/cnmc11/)
I will blog each night and hope to share a little about what is going on, and maybe even what SQPN has planned for the future!
Stay Holy,

Thanks Michael, we always have a great time putting this conference together and want to reach as many people as possible, especially those who can’t make it.
You can find the talks here!

God bless!

Actually… I went as both that long title AND more importantly, as director for E-Ministry for Peter and Paul Ministries. (Shorter title, but one I like more!) Wish you could have been there!
Do you know if there will be streaming video of any of the speakers? I didn’t see anything about video on the CNMC site.
I didn’t either, but I would hope that Father and the Catholic Weekend Crew will be doing their usual live shows for SQPN. I would follow Scott Maentz, Craig Berry, Christina King, and Brandon Vogt on Google+ and Twitter, to get the most info as to what is going on. Most of them where at Catholicon 2011 and did a great job sharing.
